STARplex is owned by Trinity College and operated as a not-for-profit community centre. Visitors enjoy a vast range of recreational services delivered by experienced, qualified staff.

A key outcome for STARplex is personal and community health and well-being. This is accomplished through an educational focus on junior sports development, fitness and lifestyle coaching, and event and conference staging, all undertaken in friendly and modern facilities.

Opened in 2000, STARplex is owned and operated by Trinity College as a not-for-profit community Centre. With over 10,000 visitors weekly, STARplex has something for everyone as a state-of-the-art sporting hub to support an active community and competitive events. STARplex offers a fully equipped gymnasium, Pilates studio, Indoor Courts program, Swimming Centre and Performing Arts space.

Trinity College maintains and operates 2 x 21 seater buses and a 43 seater bus. These buses are used to transport Trinity College students to various school related events and locations, during the school day, into the evening and potentially weekends.

Our drivers play a vital role in supporting inside and outside of school hours programs and extra-curricular activities. We're looking for someone who is confident and flexible, able to undertake both short and long routes across the Northern Adelaide area and extending into the Southern Adelaide region.

The bus driver reports to the Bus Co-ordinator on all the daily operations of the bus service provided to students at the school. Work hours will vary. All shifts are casual, and it is expected that the driver should know at least the day before what the hours on the next day will be.

What you will do:

• Maintain passenger safety at all times, obeying traffic laws and abiding by relevant College Policies.
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus, promptly reporting any issues or faults.
• Engage with students boarding and alighting the bus and provide additional mobility assistance as required.
• Conduct daily inspections of the bus to ensure safety and operational efficiency (including oil, water and tyre checks).
• Refuel the bus and prepare it for use by the next driver.

 What you will need to succeed:

• Demonstrated ability and experience driving large buses according to the law on busy metropolitan roads.
• A current driver’s licence without restriction and relevant MR, HR or HC License
• Large Passenger Vehicle Accreditation (https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/driving-and-transport/industry-services/taxi-and-passenger-transport/apply-for-accreditation/large-passenger-vehiclesvehicles)
• Valid Department of Human Services Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• RRHAN-EC Fundamentals Certificate (https://www.education.sa.gov.au/working-us/rrhan-ec/fundamentals-course-responding-risks-harm-abuse-and-neglect-education-and-care)
• First Aid Certificate (training supplied)
• Communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally and by Trinity College Values
• Ability to adhere to a schedule and timeframes
• Flexible approach to working a range of hours to accommodate a variety of school related travel
• Able to work during school holidays

• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (onsite training available)
• Hold (or be undertaking) a Certificate III in School Based Education Support or higher relevant qualification

Play a vital role in the delivery of the middle school curricular at one of our 5 Schools (7-10) North, South, Gawler River and Blakeview.  Our new Roseworthy school will have a middle school in 2027.
