Human Resource Business Partner
Permanent - Full Time

Human Resource Business Partner

 

Trinity College is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Business Partner to join our team and play a pivotal role in aligning our people and culture strategies with the College's broader goals. Role Overview

 

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, the Human Resource Business Partner will be integral to the HR function, providing expert support across key HR practices and initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of HR services, fostering a positive and supportive team culture, and supporting initiatives that promote staff development and engagement across our Schools, OSHC, and STARplex teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR advice and support across the full spectrum of HR practices, including employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, staff transitions, probation, absence management, and terminations.
  • Manage the preparation of employment contracts, position descriptions and other employment data.
  • Support our recruitment programs across the College as we build and promote a compelling employee value proposition.
  • Offer guidance and advice on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with industrial law and best practices.
  • Assist with the rollout of cultural and wellbeing initiatives, including staff engagement surveys, a wellbeing strategy, and professional development programs.
  • Engage in the implementation of a new HRIS and Payroll system, supporting the transition and optimising the platform to meet our College and staff needs.

You will demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a people-centred leadership style that fosters a high-performing and supportive team culture. You will be committed to upholding the College’s values and principles, ensuring the consistent and quality delivery of HR services that enable staff to focus on what matters most: delivering the best outcomes for students.

 

Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR advisory role.
  • Proven ability to influence positive outcomes through constructive and proactive HR practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on process efficiency and legal compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the integrity of HR data and processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and trust with key stakeholders, adopting a collaborative leadership approach.
