This is a great opportunity for a specialist Music Teacher/Coordinator to join a dedicated team at Trinity College South School. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of music education and the appropriate pedagogy. The teaching will occur in primary school classes through to middle school year levels. Each school at Trinity College has a R-10 Music Teacher/Coordinator who teaches and coordinates school performances, and the Music Curriculum at a school. This position will be appointed as a permanent position, which attracts a Position of Responsibility (POR) Level 1, $4,195. The POR 1 allowance ($4,195) is paid in addition to your teaching step (eg Teaching Step 10 $125,789 + POR allowance). To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes: - Tertiary qualifications in music teaching
- Registered to teach in South Australia or be eligible to obtain registration
- Have an understanding of and commitment to Christian education
- Have the desire and skills to participate in the school's pastoral care programme
- An ability to actively contribute to the music co-curricular program of the College
- Be passionate about understanding how learning occurs and teaching pedagogies suitable for students from Junior Primary through to Year 10
- Be able to respond positively to the pressures of a modern classroom
- Be able to set high standards for student learning and their own performance
- Deal effectively with the administrative detail of the position
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and work safety
