Music Teacher
Part-time Contracts - Start 2026

(Multiple positions with options for permanency)

This role is ideal for an educator who wants to belong to a community that values The Arts as a cornerstone of student experience.  Our Performing Arts programme is a great opportunity for specialist Music Teachers to join a dedicated team. The successful applicants will have a sound knowledge of music education and the appropriate pedagogy. The majority of the teaching will occur in primary school classes through to lower secondary year levels. The passion and demonstrated experience of teaching junior primary music classes would be an advantage.  This role will include opportunities to join Trinity College’s thriving and award-winning Music Co-Curricular programme.

 

There are 2 contracts available:-

  • 0.2fte at Trinity College Roseworthy School, and
  • 0.4fte at Trinity College North School

(Applicants are most welcome to apply for both positions and work across both schools, as has been successfully undertaken before).

 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in music teaching
  • Registered to teach in South Australia or be eligible to obtain registration
  • Have an understanding of and commitment to Christian education
  • Have the desire and skills to participate in the school's pastoral care programme
  • An ability to contribute to the music co-curricular program of the College
  • Be passionate about understanding how learning occurs and teaching pedagogies suitable for students from Junior Primary through to Year 7
  • Be able to respond positively to the pressures of a modern classroom
  • Be able to set high standards for student learning and their own performance
  • Deal effectively with the administrative detail of the position
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and work safety
