Trinity College is a multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal educational tradition in northern Adelaide. We are open to all who want their children educated in a caring and Christian tradition regardless of economic status, ability or religious affiliation. We provide exceptional facilities, support inspirational and expert staff with a passion for education, and deliver an outstanding sense of community. Trinity College maintains and operates 2 x 21 seater buses and a 43 seater bus. These buses are used to transport Trinity College students to various school related events and locations, during the school day, into the evening and potentially weekends. Our drivers play a vital role in supporting inside and outside of school hours programs and extra-curricular activities. We're looking for someone who is confident and flexible, able to undertake both short and long routes across the Northern Adelaide area and extending into the Southern Adelaide region. The bus driver reports to the Bus Co-ordinator on all the daily operations of the bus service provided to students at the school. Work hours will vary. All shifts are casual, and it is expected that the driver should know at least the day before what the hours on the next day will be. What you will do: - Maintain passenger safety at all times, obeying traffic laws and abiding by relevant College Policies.
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus, promptly reporting any issues or faults.
- Engage with students boarding and alighting the bus and provide additional mobility assistance as required.
- Conduct daily inspections of the bus to ensure safety and operational efficiency (including oil, water and tyre checks).
- Refuel the bus and prepare it for use by the next driver.
What you will need to succeed: All Trinity College Staff must comply with the College’s Child Safe Policy and adhere to the Child Safety Code of Conduct. The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia and will be subject to satisfactory employment screening and background checks, including working with children checks.
