Trinity College is a multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal education tradition in northern Adelaide. We provide exceptional facilities and support expert staff who have a passion for delivering outstanding service to our College Community.

 

A full-time vacancy exists for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic person to work as part of a busy team and provide support in maintaining the substantial buildings and facilities across our College.

 

The role:

This key position will deliver outcomes as part of a dynamic and successful team, ensuring that the College grounds, buildings, plant and equipment and surrounds - are well maintained, well presented and compliant with all appropriate regulatory and statutory requirements.

This achievement supports our College’s teaching, learning, and co-curricular programs.

Our Facilities team works in accordance with our Customer Service Charter – to deliver customer-focused outcomes while limiting disruption and providing a safe environment for the College community.

 

Key accountabilities of the role:

  • Ensure our resources and assets are maintained for optimum performance and conditions through the provision of preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
  • Support the preparation of daily work programs
  • Actively promote and demonstrate the values within the Trinity College – Facilities Customer Service Charter
  • Deliver a solution-oriented approach and demonstrate flexibility in supporting the dynamic nature of our College environment
  • Conduct audits and safety checks to support maintenance programs
  • Work collaboratively with others in the proactive delivery of our required programs

What you will need to succeed:

  • Relevant trade qualifications are an advantage
  • Demonstrated building or trade industry experience with the ability to undertake general trade construction, maintenance and repair duties
  • A rigorous approach to safe work practices appropriate within a school and child-care environment
  • Experience in assisting in the planning and organisation of tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Have a flexible approach to working out of hours to accommodate key events, and able to work during school holidays
  • Exceptional work ethic where high-quality work standards are delivered
  • Evident strong communication and interpersonal skills, engaging with team members and stakeholders professionally and by Trinity College Values
  • Experience in a similar role within a continuous delivery service model
  • Can work unsupervised and within a team environment, at times fast-paced, demonstrating a positive attitude at all times
  • Ability to maintain emails, spreadsheets and job-tracking programs appropriately
  • Willing to undertake further coaching and training as required
  • All Trinity College Staff must comply with the College’s Child Safe Policy and adhere to the Child Safety Code of Conduct
  • Hold a current South Australian Driver’s License without restrictions
