ICT Support Technician

Trinity College is a multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal education tradition and located in the northern Adelaide region. With a proud 40-year history, our model features a central administration hub that provides key shared facilities, connecting our individual School sites. This approach enables our students to experience the advantages and resources of a large, modern College while receiving the individual attention typically associated with smaller schools.

 

This Role is an essential and valued part of our College operations. As part of the College-wide ICT Services team, you will help staff and students use College technology effectively and minimise disruption to teaching, learning and College operations. This is a practical, user-focused role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting people and working in a busy educational environment. 

 

Key accountabilities include:

  • Providing responsive frontline ICT support to staff and students
  • Investigating and resolving hardware, software, account, printing and connectivity issues
  • Supporting classroom technology, audiovisual equipment and learning spaces
  • Installing, configuring, relocating and supporting computers, mobile devices, printers and peripherals
  • Assisting with device deployments, replacements, collections and equipment lifecycle activities
  • Supporting users with the setup and troubleshooting of College-managed Windows and iPadOS devices
  • Recording and updating incidents and service requests through the College's service management processes
  • Maintaining accurate asset records, technical procedures and support documentation
  • Supporting new staff onboarding, College events and ICT improvement projects
  • Escalating complex, recurring, security-related or device-management issues to the appropriate ICT team member

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience providing frontline service desk or end-user ICT support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and common end-user hardware and peripherals
  • An understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, user accounts, authentication and access-related troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting printing, network connectivity, audiovisual equipment and classroom technology
  • The ability to prioritise competing requests and provide clear and timely updates
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, professional and accessible approach when supporting users with different levels of technical confidence
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a broader ICT team
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and service improvement
  • Able to have a flexible approach to working out of hours to accommodate College needs and be able to work during school holidays.
  • All Trinity College Staff must comply with the College’s Child Safe Policy and adhere to the Child Safety Code of Conduct.

In addition, the following are strongly desirable:

  • A relevant information technology qualification
  • Experience working in a school, education setting or similarly complex organisation
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Autopilot or related enterprise infrastructure.
  • Relevant Microsoft or Apple certifications.
