Trinity College is a multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal educational tradition in northern Adelaide. We are seeking additional team members who are passionate about working with children, and are keen to join our dedicated OSHC team as either Qualified or Unqualified Educators. Flexible working hours are on offer. Trinity College operates four OSHC centres with locations at Trinity College Blakeview, Trinity College Gawler River, Trinity College Gawler and Trinity College Roseworthy. Our OSHC centres provide before and after school care during the school term and vacation care during the school holidays. Our centres are closed for a two-week period over Christmas. Join a team of staff with a dedicated approach to providing enriching experiences for children through every session of care. We are looking for educators who embrace those same values and passion - whether it is playing with slime, assisting with healthy snack preparation, pretend baking in the OSHC cafe, building creations or playing a netball game on the court - no two days are the same. Key accountabilities include: - Assist with the overall supervision of children
- Support and conduct safe, engaging and fun activities for children
- Prepare experiences that facilitate and enhance child development based on current theoretical and practical knowledge (MTOP – NQF) with the OSHC Director’s guidance
- Ensure the Service’s policies, procedures and routines are adhered to
- Work within ACECQA, child safe regulations and the QIP
- Work every day with passion and commitment, delivering as an effective team member
- Implement programmes which reflect the multicultural and social nature of the community and which promotes the principles of equal opportunity
- Maintain confidentiality
- Implement positive behaviour management procedures
What you will need to succeed: Qualified Educators require approved qualifications as per ACECQA guidelines. (Diploma or higher in teaching, education, education support, child-care, out-of-hours-school hours care, children's services, early childhood education and care, disability, behavioural and social sciences, community services, youth work, community development, health, allied health, sport and recreation, leisure and health, or creative arts). Qualified and Unqualified Educators: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally and by Trinity College Values
- Availability mornings and afternoons and some hours between, Monday to Friday
- Organisation, self-motivation, active listening, respect, care and empathy - are all required traits of an exceptional carer
- Ability to manage self and others in an emergency or stressful situation
- Comply with and acknowledge the College’s Child Safe Policy and adhere to the Child Safety Code of Conduct
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Completion of the RRHAN-EC Masterclass Certificate (https://www.education.sa.gov.au/working-us/rrhan-ec/masterclass-rrhan-ec)
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (onsite training available)
